Real Estate and Architectural Photography

Creating beautiful landscape and nature photographs is just part of what I do. I also capture the beauty and flow as a real estate photographer too.

Real Estate and Architectural photography is just one of the many services I offer. Capturing and creating beautiful and attention grabbing photographs for your listings and advertising is my priority.  Whether interior, exterior or both I can provide photographs that grab the attention of potential buyers and help you sell your property.  Or maybe you’re a contractor who needs before and after photographs of an upcoming project… I can help.  Feel free to contact me  if you have any questions or for pricing.

Below are photographs from some of my recent shoots.

A Visit To Bald Head Island

Bald Head Island Is The Place To Be

I finally made it over on to Bald Head Island! Before this trip to the North Carolina coast the closest I had been to Bald Head Island was just across the water on Oak Island. Some of you may have seen the photograph I took from here looking over at Old Baldy. The island is full of beautiful scenery and you get to rent golf carts to ride around in for the day! It has a nice quiet feel complete with beautiful beaches, nature trails, great restaurants and fun for everyone. I can’t wait for my next visit to the island there are still a few things I’d like to do like kayak all the marshes close to the boat house and photograph the birds.

Now here’s a shot I took from the West End of the island of Old Baldy.

 4th Of July Fireworks

I spent the evening at the Salem Fair Fireworks show for the 4th of July photographing all of the beautiful lights and motion.  The setup I used for this photograph was my Canon 6D  with the 17-40mm F4L mounted on a Inudro tripod and I controlled the exposure with my Promote Control. Some of the problems you have to deal with in a situation like this is finding a balance between the lights of the rides and fair grounds and the fireworks. By using a manual shutter hold on the remote I could quickly look at the histogram and see immediately if I need to lengthen or shorten my exposure.

I also had a second camera setup Sony A6000 with the 16-50mm lens shooting a timelapse video using the Sony Timelapse App which can be found below.

Sony A6000 Leica Lens Test

Testing The Leica 135mm F4 Tele Elmar

These are my first shots using the Leica 135mm F4 Tele Elmar lens on the Sony A6000. Well in this Sony A6000 Leica Lens Test right off the bat I could tell these images were sharper than the 16-50mm that came in the kit. I’m using the Metabones Leica M to Sony E mount adapter to allow this lens to be used on the A6000. The lens is manual focus but focus peaking still works! Also another thing I found is even though the lens is manual aperture also all of the shooting modes seem to still work, like intelligent auto still does a fairly good job even without any lens electronics. Below are a couple quick shots I grabbed while testing the lens out.

Sony A6000 Test

I recently added the new Sony A6000 to my camera bag. So far I’m loving it! It’s about the same size as my NEX5N but has so much more to offer. The new Sony Play Memories Apps are pretty cool I’m liking the timelapse and star trails those are two I’ve been playing with recently. Here’s one I took using the kit lens 16-50mm which I’m still not so sure about. It seems to be hit or miss for the shots I’ve attempted with it so far.

Look for a full review of the Sony A6000 coming soon!

The Old Mill – Pigeon Forge, TN

I had a quick visit to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park a few weeks back… more for relaxation than photography this time around. But I still had my gear with me and managed to shoot a few photographs during the trip. This is one of the Old Mill around sunset while a couple guys were fishing in the water below. The Old Mill is a really neat place to visit if you’re ever in Pigeon Forge Tennessee.
